Hyrule Warriors Video Shows Impa And Her Gigantic Long Sword

Tecmo Koei released a new video of Hyrule Warriors that’s all about Impa. In the hack and slash action game, Impa is the Commanding Officer of the Hyrule Imperial Guard. She wields a long sword and it looks like her attacks are a bit slower than Link’s, but have more impact. The slide attack looks useful for crashing into enemy waves and perhaps dodging King Dodongo’s fire breath.

Impa was in the E3 demo, which was set in the same area as this video, but she was not playable. New characters were revealed for Hyrule Warriors in Famitsu including Agitha from The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Lana.

Hyrule Warriors comes out on August 14 in Japan, September 20 in Europe, and September 26 in North America.
