Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will be the latest installment in the story surrounding The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. However, this prequel will arrive in a way some fans may not expect. This entry is part of the Hyrule Warriors series, Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors style spin on the series and is once again developed by Omega Force. As mentioned above, this entry will take place one hundred years before the events that brought about the return of Calamity Ganon. In this installment, players will have the opportunity to learn more about Princess Zelda’s involvement in the events, along with Link’s four companions. Link, Zelda, Daruk, Mipha, Revali, and Urbosa will all be playable characters, and two-player co-op will be supported.

In the broadcast, Aonuma did mention that fans would need to wait a little bit longer in order to receive details about the upcoming sequel to Breath of the Wild.
