Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory II has a crossover with the kusoge classic Spelunker, specifically Square Enix’s Everyone’s Spelunker Z. Compile Heart’s RPG has Neplunker mode, a crossover dungeon with gameplay elements from Spelunker.
One change is you have lives in Neplunker. In the screenshot above, Neptune has two lives (as indicated by the Neptune icon x2). If you fall from a high place, get hit by a bat, touch steam or fire, or run out of energy you lose a life. The energy meter is the min/max bar which depletes when you explore the dungeon. If you run out of lives, you will get a Game Over, but if you can clear the dungeon you’ll earn special items. Neplunker has special items that recover your energy and 1ups. Neplunker does not affect the main story, but be warned the Game Over screen kicks players back to the title screen so you might want to save before you try Neplunker.
Hyperdimension Neptunia Victory II comes out in Japan on April 23. Check out the latest screenshots of CPU Candidates, Nepgear, Uni, Ram, and Rom below.
