Hikaru Yasui will serve as Director and Producer for Hyperdimension Neptunia: Sisters vs. Sisters. Combat will happen in real time, with a total of three characters on screen at any given time. Additionally, players will be able to switch freely between these three characters. The characters the player is not controlling will act and move freely on their on. The story will feature Nepgear, Uni, Rom, and Ram, who will receive entirely new character models.
Gameplay will include the implementation of combo and tactical skills. Combo skills can be activated with a press of a button, and can be linked to other characters. Tactical skills, however, are a unique action that consume a dedicated gauge when activated. Players will be able to move freely over the map. Additionally, the PlayStation 5 version of the game will feature haptic feedback.
In Fall 2020, Idea Factory International announced the Hyperdimension Neptunia: The Animation would appear on Steam. This includes the eight opening and ending songs from the series.
