Shueisha has set up an official webpage for a new volume 39 of the Hunter x Hunter manga that it will publish in Japan in early July 2026. The company has also opened pre-orders for physical releases of the new volume at ¥572 (~$3.60) on multiple web stores, including Amazon and Rakuten, both of which also support international shipping. The new volume’s cover has still yet to be known as of the new pages’ publication.

Although the preceding Volume 38 appeared in English in January 2026, its original Japanese release came out on September 4, 2024. This means it will take almost two years—or a year and ten months to be more precise—for the new Volume 39 to appear in Japan.

The Hunter x Hunter manga series has recently been known for its slow pace due to the frequent hiatuses taken by the creator Yoshihiro Togashi. The 37th volume of the manga was released in Japanese in November 2022 and in English in October 2023.

However, Yoshihiro Togashi has been recently resuming his work on the series again. Through his own social media account, Togashi revealed that he had penned the characters for Chapter 430 in April 2026 and finished the manuscript for Chapter 421 in late May 2026.

The Hunter x Hunter manga volume 39 will be available in Japan on July 3, 2026.
