Hoyeon Update Adds New Boss, New Area, and New Hero Character

NCSoft announced the release of a new major update for turn-based mobile RPG Hoyeon (known in Japan as Go-En.) The new update is now live, and it introduced new content to the Moonwater Plains, the new hero Ryu Ara, as well as new bosses and equipment.

The most recent Hoyeon (Go-En) update adds three new bosses. The first two are the single bosses Lightning Cloud and Tae Jangum, with the third one being the field boss Wu Fo. defeating them will unlock special rewards, like the Cobalt Widow equipment set and the True Cobalt Widow set.

Meanwhile, the new hero Ryu Ara is a pilot capable of switching between enhanced artillery and activation modes. Ryu Ara will be available for players to draw until November 27, 2024. The new update also raises the max level cap to 50.

Hoyeon is a new mobile title created by Lineage developer NCSoft released in August 2024 in South Korea, Japan, and Taiwan. The game shares its universe and is set 3 years prior to the beginning of PC action MMORPG game Blade & Soul.

Hoyeon or Go-En is readily available in Korea, Japan, and Taiwan for Android and iOS mobile devices. At the time of writing, there is no information on a overseas release date.
