Oddly enough, one of the first great mysteries many players will want to solve in Starfield is whether or not you can visit Earth in the game. After all, as the home of humanity, how could this game possibly explore the billions of people and hundreds of countries that exist across our world?
Surprisingly, yes, you can visit not only the Sol System where humanity originates, but also Earth itself. You can explore the entirety of Earth in Starfield alongside all of the other planets and moons in our solar system, but not right when you start the game.
How to visit Earth in Starfield
If you want to be like me and make your trip to Earth one of your first goals in Starfield, there are some objectives you’ll need to do first. Besides beating the prologue of the game and getting your first starship, the Frontier, you’ll want to head to New Atlantis and meet the members of Constellation.
However, it doesn’t stop there. You’ll need to continue their storyline until the next major quest, which requires you to take Sarah Morgan to Mars in the Sol System. Once you do this, you’ll unlock the ability to head to our solar system and visit all of the planets here. This even includes Earth, which you can fully explore at this point.
Spoilers aside, you could even explore the whole world and theoretically build an outpost where your actual home is in real life. However, it would take quite a while and not exactly look as it does now.
Starfield is available for the Xbox Series X and PC.
