How to Use Unicorn Overlord Treasure Maps

If you visit one of the quarries in Unicorn Overlord, say like Cornia Quarry or Drakenhold Quarry, you might find yourself digging up Treasure Maps. It’s worth getting the items from each one, but it might not be immediately obvious how.

How do I use a Treasure Map in Unicorn Overlord?

I’ll be using the “Cornia Treasure Map 1” Treasure Quest as an example for this, so there aren’t too many spoilers ahead. You actually get this map as part of the digging tutorial upon reaching Cornia Quarry near Lis de Prairie Village for the first time. Coincidentally, the actual treasure for it is also right near the quarry and village, so it is easy to pick it up.

Bring up your Quest Log. This can be found in the Overworld Menu or by pressing ZR. Tab over to the Treasure Map section. All of the maps will be shown here, with images of the map and the spot where the item will be right there. However, the map won’t show any of the usual landmarks like towns or fortresses. So you need to be able to recognize the actual area by comparing that to the world map.

In the case of “Cornia Treasure Map 1” in Unicorn Overlord, the treasure is basically just northeast of Lis de Prairie Village. (It’s right near the Stone Carving for the “Carved of Cornia Stone” mission.) Walk up to the forest with the distinctive stone carving of the helmet in the stone and move around until a question mark appears above Alain’s head. I shared a screenshot below, so you can see the exact spot and indicator in question.

Press the confirm button to investigate and you’ll find the treasure tied to the map. In this case, it’s a Hallowed Blade sword, a Miracle Fruit, and 5,000 G War Funds.

All treasure maps in Unicorn Overlord work in this way, so you’ll always have images of the location and map to compare and get a question mark indicator letting you know you’re in the right spot.
