A lot of the Zonai devices in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are self explanatory, but the Wing one is a bit more complicated. You can’t just attach something like a single Zonai Fan device to it and see it work. It took me a moment when I was headed to the Temple of Time on Great Sky Island, what with so many lying around and no obvious way to use them. You might need to place it on an incline so it slides down to get momentum or add additional Zonai devices to get the propulsion you need. And if you got one from a device dispenser, properly using one in the current situation could be even more vague.
How to Use a Zonai Wing Device in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
If you’re on an incline and place the Zonai Wing device at the top, hop onto the back. Standing at different parts will cause it to move in certain directions. So if you stand on the nose, it moves forward. Standing on the left and right wings turns it left and right. Standing at the back makes it rise a bit.
Here’s a quick video clip I took of my first Zonai Wing device flight to the Temple of Time in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom to show exactly how it works.

For more control and speed, you need to add attachments with Ultrahand. Putting a Zonai Fan on the back of the left and right “wings” will give it enough energy or speed. A Rocket will do in a pinch as well. Using the Zonai Steering Stick also can be attached to the middle so you don’t have Link moving around mid-flight to control it.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for the Nintendo Switch. Also, you can always glide with a paraglider too.
