The Warrior Archetype in Metaphor: ReFantazio is an offensive job that specializes in physical and Slash damage. Here’s how to obtain Warrior, as well as the more advanced Archetypes in its lineage.
Here’s how to unlock the Warrior Archetypes in Metaphor: ReFantazio
- Warrior: Default Archetype after recruiting Strohl
- Swordmaster: Reach Rank 20 of Warrior; reach Rank 3 with Strohl; 6000 MAG
- Samurai: Reach Rank 20 of Swordmaster and Rank 10 of General; reach Rank 7 with Strohl; 16,500 MAG
- Royal Warrior: Reach Rank 20 of Samurai and Rank 20 of Warlord ; reach Rank 8 with Strohl; 30,000 MAG.This is an Archetype exclusive to Strohl.
Warrior is a powerful Archetype that you can get very early on. Though its moves are quite generic, there’s nothing wrong with that.
What is the Warrior good for?
Warrior starts out as a single target attacker before gaining more moves that let it damage the entire enemy party. It also has some nifty Synthesis skills like Bamboo Splitter or Peerless Stonecleaver, which can grant you an extra Turn Icon if it deals a killing blow. Samurai adds the ability to deal elemental damage, adding more flexibility to its natural moveset. Finally, Royal Knight grants powerful physical attacks like Brave Blade and Hassou Tobi.
While there’s no rule stopping you from letting anyone research any Archetype, some characters are better suited for certain classes than others. In Warrior’s case, anyone with high affinity in physical attack works well in it. Strohl is a natural, of course, but you can also let Hulkenberg, and Basilio take a run through it. Depending on how you built your Protagonist, he might make a good Warrior too, or at least benefit from the stat boosts and skills.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is readily available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC.
