How to Unlock The World of Darkness in FFXIV

As part of A Realm Reborn, and now included in the Main Scenario Quests, players will need to meet the following requirements to unlock The World of Darkness:

  • Complete Syrcus Tower
  • Reach Level 50 with your character.

Unlocking The World of Darkness is significantly easier than The Labyrinth of the Ancients or Syrcus Tower. After defeating Xande and leaving the Syrcus Tower, speak to Rammbroes at X:30.4, Y:12.1 in Mor Dhona to pick up the quest “The World of Darkness.” This will unlock the final Crystal Tower Alliance Raid in FFXIV.

This is by far the most challenging of the three Alliance Raids and will require coordination between all three Alliances. However, it isn’t nearly as hard as it was on release, and players should be able to easily clear it. So long as they can do a bit of math, that is.
