Duck Detective: The Secret Salami is a fairly straightforward puzzle game, but unlock the boss’s safe may require you to think outside of the box. So, put on your best detective trench coat as we unravel what actions you need to take.Â
Before you can open the safe, Manfred will have to leave the boss’s office room unattended, which happens after the Duck Detective calls everyone into the kitchen space to discuss his findings after the birthday party.
How Do I Unlock The Boss’s Safe in Duck Detective: The Secret Salami?
When you interact with the portrait painting, you will have the prompt to move the item. After you’ve done this, you will finally gain access to the safe, where it will then ask you to input a three-numbered code.
The only clue you have is a sticky note on the safe that says CS/OO/BD. At first glance, this may seem confusing, but it’s an abbreviation for every type of employee who works at Bus Bears.
The first abbreviation, CS, stands for “customer service,” and two people (or animals), Laura and Margaret, work in that department. The second, OO, indicates “operating office” and only one is in that branch, Freddy. You should have all this information available to you in your journal by already playing the game up to this point. Â
The last one, BD, represents “bus driver.” This is the trickiest one out of the bunch because you only meet one bus driver in the entirety of the game, Boris. However, if you go into the main office room, there is a piece of paper on the red carpet near Freddy (the Crocodile), which states there are four bus drivers at the company. There are also four bus stops, which could also be interpreted as another hint that the last number is four.
The final number code for the safe is:
2-1-4
After you’ve opened the safe, you will find the keys to the server room, which will help you progress into the final segments of Duck Detective: The Secret Salami to crack the case once and for all.
Duck Detective: The Secret Salami is now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
