In order to unlock the mines you will need to reach Town Rank Stone. Fields of Mistria has several Town Ranks you can work through during your time in Early Access, but getting to Stone Rank is actually pretty simple.

Head to Mistria and find the quest board sandwiched between the old mill and the general shop (the place where you can purchase seeds and other assorted goods). Accept whatever quests are available, and complete them. Generally, most quests will require you to find some kind of item in exchange for a quest reward like Tessarae or some kind of crafting or cooking recipe. Doing this will accumulate experience.

After five or so days of doing quests, you should be able to reach Town Rank Stone. If not, just keep plugging away at quests. you will know when new quests appear, as the board will have an exclamation point over it. This is also a fantastic way to obtain Tessarae.

Once you have reached Town Rank Stone, a scene will trigger and you will be asked to go the mines. The mines can be found in the northwestern part of the map in The Narrows, next to the museum. If you’ve run around that area and found a boarded up entrance with some statues in front of it, that’ll be the mines. So just head there and trigger the next scene and you’ll have unlocked the mines!

Fields of Mistria is available in Early Access on PC through Steam.
