How to Unlock The Final Steps of Faith in FFXIV

The Final Steps of Faith in Final Fantasy XIV is the final Main Scenario Trial in the Heavensward expansion. Players will tackle Nidhogg in this Trial, with various phase changes happening throughout the fight. Much like The Singularity Reactor in FFXIV, The Final Steps of Faith will unlock through Main Scenario Quest progression. While this Trial proved challenging when it initially released, it is more or less a fight that acts as something of a spectacle.

How to Unlock The Final Steps of Faith in FFXIV: Heavensward

As mentioned prior, The Final Steps of Faith is made available through Main Scenario Progression. Players will need to reach the Main Scenario Quest “The Final Song.” This is the final Main Scenario Trial in the Heavensward expansion. Defeating Nidhogg and putting an end to his quest for revenge will allow players to continue the Main Scenario. Completing the quests after “The Final Song” will eventually lead to unlocking access to the Stormblood expansion.

And much like previous Trials, an Extreme version will be available after completing The Final Steps of Faith. This features new mechanics, and a harder difficulty. If you choose to tackle the Extreme Trial sync’d that is.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
