How to Unlock Super Ghost Battle in Tekken 8

Tekken 8 features a new mode called Super Ghost Battle, which allows players to fight AI opponents trained on other players. However, it’s not immediately available when players first open the game and must be unlocked first.

How Do You Unlock Super Ghost Battle in Tekken 8?

Unlocking Super Ghost Battle requires players to try out a new mode for Tekken 8 called Arcade Quest. This mode acts as a tutorial for newcomers, asking players to make an avatar. The mode features a story where you rise through the ranks of a Tekken tournament, learning about the game’s mechanics along the way.

All you have to do to unlock Super Ghost Battle is make your way through the mode’s first chapter. This is the chapter set in the arcade called Gong. Follow Max’s tutorials and win the mini tournament and you’ll be able to head out to the world map.

With Gong completed, a new arcade will open up, along with a second location called Final Round. This is the home of Super Ghost Battle, which is now accessible. However, you do not need to load Arcade Quest to access it, as an option for the mode will also open up on the game’s main menu.

What is Super Ghost Battle?

Unlike fighting traditional AI opponents, the opponents in this mode learn from real players. Data from players in online matches and Arcade Quest are both fed into their ghosts and automatically uploaded.

When you first visit Super Ghost Battle in Tekken 8, you will be encouraged to train your own ghost, which can be done from the machine in the center of the room. However, while this can be done manually, it’s not required as it will learn from your player data automatically.

The room will initially contain ghosts made from the developers, but more can be downloaded. You can find player profiles in the community tab found at the bottom of the main menu. Select Players You’ve Played With to see a list of every opponent you’ve fought online. Selecting a player will give multiple options, including the ability to download their Ghost. This will allow you to learn from their playstyle offline at any time.
