Unlocking Simon Belmont in Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania involves a specific progression through several other characters in the DLC. Each new character, or sometimes weapon is used to unlock the next character in the chain. You’ll start by unlocking the first character, Leon Belmont, and work your way up to Simon.

Path to unlocking Simon Belmont in Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania

  1. Leon Belmont: To unlock Leon, find and open the first coffin in the Ode to Castlevania DLC. This coffin is located beside the bridge at Dracula’s Castle, just to the right of your starting position.
  2. Trevor Belmont: Once you’ve unlocked Leon, you’ll need to defeat the Giant Medusa Head with him. This will unlock Trevor, setting you on the next step.
  3. Alucard: To gain access to Alucard, take on the Doppelganger while playing as Trevor Belmont. Alucard’s weapon is what will help us moving forward.
  4. Christopher Belmont: For Christopher, evolve Alucard’s Sword, which he starts with. This evolution marks the final step before reaching Simon.
  5. Simon Belmont: Finally, to unlock Simon, evolve Christopher’s Jet Black Whip. Once you’ve completed this evolution, Simon Belmont will be playable, bringing his legendary prowess to Vampire Survivors.

This chain of unlocks is a nod to the Castlevania lineage, rewarding players with classic characters and a progression that builds on each Belmont’s strengths. It’s also canon, Leon Belmont being the ancestor to the Belmont and the line of children leading to Simon.

By carefully following this order, you’ll be able to play as Simon Belmont and take on Dracula’s Castle with the full might of his abilities.

Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania is currently available on PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch and mobile.
