How to Start Season 6 Intro Quest in Diablo IV Vessel of Hatred

First and foremost, you’ll need to decide how you want to handle this season. Do you want your new character to go through the entire base campaign before hopping into the Season 6 content or do you want a character ready for Season 6 from the start? This is up to you and you can do some of the Season 6 content without purchasing the expansion.

Once you are ready for Season 6, you need to head to Zarbinzet and speak with the Crusader Damond NPC there. He will give you a mission known as “Creeping Hatred” to fight a Realmwalker and finish one of the new Seething Realms. This mission introduces you to the new event fights and dungeons, respectively, and are a requirement for unlocking Season 6.

How to Unlock Season 6

The first part of the “Creeping Hatred” intro mission to unlock Season 6 in Diablo 4 is to complete one of the Realmwalker fights. These are timed events that happen every 15 minutes in-game in Estuar and around every hour in Nahantu. You’ll know them by the icon that will appear on the map. These are tough fights with multiple parts to them.

The general idea is to take out the additional enemies like the Bloodbound Guardians to deal damage to it. After that, you need to take down three Hatred Spires in the event. Finally, you will be able to fight the Realmwalker directly and finish it off. But this is only the first part of the mission. The next part is to go through the portal that appears to do a Seething Realm dungeon. Your goal is to progress through it to finish off the boss in the Seething Wellspring area. Finishing this will let you complete the “Creeping Hatred” mission and formally start Season 6.

Diablo IV Season 6 and Vessel of Hatred are available right now for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
