While some Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth minigames unlock as part of the campaign, the Pokemon Snap-like Sicko Snap doesn’t. You need to take on a specific substory called “Snap those Sickos” once Ichiban Kasuga gets to Hawaii and reunites with Kazuma Kiryu.
How do I unlock Sicko Snap in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth?
Triggering the “Snap those Sickos” Substory in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth that unlocks the Pokemon Snap sort of minigame actually isn’t obvious, as you need to interact with the Aloha Beach Trolley Stop to start it. It won’t begin normally like other substories. After Kasuga and Kiryu finish at the bar and with talking to Kei, you can head down to the beach to trolley stop on Aloha Street near the taxi stand.
A cutscene will then play, introducing Kasuga to Kuroki. Kuroki is helping the police by taking pictures of “sickos.” This sends location data to the police and earns you Snap Points you can redeem for various rewards.
From there, you’ll go through your first round of Sicko Snap, which is an on-rails photography shooter minigame in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth like Pokemon Snap. As this is the Aloha Beach trolley line, this is the “easiest” course. Your goal is to snap pictures when the center reticle is directly in the middle of the sickos, who are identifiable by their butterfly masks and either wrestling singlet or swim trunks.
After going through the course, Kuroki will then give you a camera and you can take any trolley ride at a stop to play the minigame, exchange earned points for rewards, and also go to a different point on the map. You also get a Rejuvenation Bolus item to revive a fallen ally in a fight once.
Sicko Snap tips for great shots and success
Basically, there are a few things I recommend when you happen upon a new trolley stop and Sicko Snap opportunity. The first is to spend the first “ride” learning where the sickos are. Don’t worry if you don’t get pictures of anyone. Don’t try to focus on getting a high score or perfect shots. Don’t stay focused in. Just get an idea of where people pop up and the flow of the ride. Knowing the lay of the land is really helpful, and doing this also lets you keep track of where people who will react to the sickos will be so you can use that knowledge to get better pictures.
My second tip is to play zoomed-in as often as possible. The best shots and most points come when you have the sicko perfectly in-frame with the reticle on them. While there are some points when the bus will turn down roads or you’ll have a moment with no sickos in sight, odds are they’ll pop up at a pretty regular pace, and this way you’re prepared for ones who may be further back.
Also, don’t worry about film. You get a pretty ample amount. So I’d say it is better to take a shot and hope you get a photo than hold back and save, completely missing any opportunity.
Finally, I recommend saving up your Snap Points. You can end up getting some items to help boost your jobs, which always helps a lot. You can also get blueprints for Dondoko Island Resort. Also, if you like video game music the Border Break soundtrack CDs are here.
