How to Unlock Kugane Ohashi in FFXIV: Stormblood

Unlocking Kugane Ohashi is a bit more complicated than previous Trials. This is because it is part of the Hildebrand questline and, while optional, is extremely lengthy. In order to begin the Hildebrand questline for the Stormblood expansion, you will need to pick up the quest “A Hingan Tale: Nashi Goes East” at X:10.6, Y:9.8 in Kugane. Keep in mind that you must have completed the previous quests that art part of the Hildebrand questline in order to even unlock this specific quest. From there, you will need to undertake all quests until you reach “The Past is Never the Past,” which can be picked up at X:10.5, Y:8.1 in Kugane. This will then unlock Kugane Ohashi, and set players against a familiar foe.

The requirements for unlocking The Jade Stoa are as follows:

  • Complete Hildebrand Quests “A Hingan Tale: Nashu Goes East,” “Life Imitates Art Imitates Life,” “Of Wolves and Gentlemen,” “In the Eye of the Hingan,” “The Blade Mislaid,” “The Black Heart Beneath,” and “Good Swords, Good Dogs”
  • Level 70
  • Item Level 365

Final Fantasy XIV is immediately available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
