Diablo IV pivoted towards an MMO-lite formula, adding world events, raid bosses, and even mounts. With an expansive map, players will want to make use of their mount to travel to world bosses and fully uncover what secrets Sanctuary may hold. However to unlock the horse mount in Diablo IV, the prerequisites involve advancing the story until a certain quest appears.
Unfortunately, players cannot unlock the horse mount in Diablo IV immediately. You will need to progress the main story, this includes Act I, II, and III, to get the necessary quest to appear. However, you will need to finish all three before you are able to take the quest “Donan’s Favor” which can be taken after reaching Act IV – A Master’s Touch. There is no level requirement for obtaining your horse, and as soon as it opens up you can go to the Stables and get a free horse.
This is how you unlock your horse in Diablo IV, but you will also need to purchase a mount for your other characters. Those that start a new character on Adventure Mode can immediately obtain their mount for a small amount of gold.
Diablo IV is available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
