The Healer Archetype in Metaphor: ReFantazio is, unsurprisingly, an Archetype that heavily specializes in light magic and healing spells. Here’s how to obtain Healer, as well as the more advanced Archetypes in its lineage.
Here’s how to unlock the Healer Archetypes in Metaphor: ReFantazio
- Healer: Default Archetype after a scene with Maria in the story
- Cleric: Reach Rank 20 of Healer and Rank 3 with Maria; 6750 JPY
- Saviour: Reach Rank 20 of Cleric and Rank 8 with Maria; 18,750 JPY
While you will need to make time out of your schedule to meet Maria in order to reach Rank 8 and obtain Saviour, her follower story provides some handy bonuses. Not only does she increase how much EXP you gain after battles, but she also lets you cook on the gauntlet runner without using up an entire time slot.
What is the Healer good for?
Healer is a very useful Archetype for its myriad of healing spells and you should try to let your magic healers pick up some of its spells, even if they don’t stay in the Healer linage. Cleric can learn Recarm and Samarecarm so that you won’t have to keep relying on items to revive fallen allies. Saviour naturally learns the more powerful versions of Hama, Medi, and Patra. However, its strongest selling point is that it loses Healer and Cleric’s weakness to Strike, improving its chances of survival.
While there’s no rule stopping you from letting anyone research any Archetype, some characters are better suited for certain classes than others. In Healer’s case, the Protagonist is the best character for this Archetype due to his high Magic stat and him always needing to be in your party. Magic users like Eupha and Junah will also greatly benefit from picking up Healer skills.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is readily available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Windows PC.
