How to Unlock Fashion Dreamer Cocoons

While Fashion Dreamer is fairly straightforward, it does bring up Cocoons for people to unlock. These are areas with different appearances for photo ops, as well as unique gacha machines with themed designs.

What are Fashion Dreamer Cocoons?

Basically, these are four themed areas. The NPC characters, as well as Muses based on ones other players made, can appear in any Cocoon. So you don’t need to worry about missing someone because you don’t have access to Act, Fun, or Love yet.

The main difference is the gacha machine in each one. Every area has its own Bingo Machine stations for the three and five-panel ones, Showroom access, Photo Egg, trending items area, and salon access for customizing Muses. However, each area’s gacha machine has its own list of unique design prizes. So the designs in Hope and Love both are more casual, basic outfits, though Love does have some gothic lolita items. The items in Act are sporty and elegant. The ones in Fun are more unique and trend toward gothic lolita.

How do I unlock Fashion Dreamer Cocoons?

Everyone starts the game with access to the Hope Cocoon. You’ll go through it during the offline tutorial, before heading into the main game either online or offline there.

Once you get 500 (virtual) followers, based on creating Lookit outfits for both Fashion Dreamer Muses that are original to the game or based on other players when online, taking photos, pinning posts in your Eve Log, and changing around the items in your Showroom, you unlock the second Cocoon. That’s Act. You also get a Silver trophy you can display in your Showroom and more items in the Item Creator catalog to unlock with keys. (Note that keys are occasionally given by Muses as a reward for creating outfits for them.)

The third Cocoon to unlock is Fun. That comes when you hit 3,000 followers. Again, constantly creating Lookits and pinning posts after you do is the easiest way to make this happen. You also earn a Gold trophy to possibly display and more fashion design options in the Item Creator catalog.

Finally, Love unlocks when you hit 10,000 followers. However, you don’t get the message noting this right away. Instead, the credits roll on Fashion Dreamer. These can’t be skipped. Once that is done, load your save. You’ll find that the Love Cocoon is unlocked, you earned a Platinum trophy furniture item for the Showroom, and the final batch of designs you can open up with keys unlocks.

Note that if there are still unusual clothing items you’ve seen in-game and you haven’t unlocked yet, such as kimonos or certain dresses, those are hidden in the Item Creator levels. To gain access to those patterns, you’ll need to keep creating clothing to eventually earn the options. They aren’t part of Cocoon gachas.

Fashion Dreamer is available for the Nintendo Switch. It will eventually get free updates.
