Since Vampire Survivors has revolutionized the bullet-hell genre, many games have followed in its footsteps. Some are beyond fantastic, and others are mediocre. Fortunately, Temtem: Swarm is one of the better games out there, as the whole experience feels very smooth and fleshed out. Temtem: Swarm is currently out in early access, and so far, five stages are available based on locations from the original Temtem title. All these stages feel well-thought-out and have their own vibrant color design. However, not all the stages will be open to you when you start playing. This quick guide will give you the lowdown on unlocking every stage.
How do I unlock every stage in Temtem: Swarm?
When you initially start playing, the only stage available will be Cipanku. You must survive on this map for fifteen minutes to unlock the next stage. If you’ve just started, we recommend opting for Platypet and using techniques like Ki Field and Water Blade, as these moves give you a good balance of short and long-ranged attacks. If you want gears that complement these techniques, we advise the Drill and the Hydro Turbine.
For the next two maps, you must survive fifteen minutes on the most recent stage you have unlocked. The last stage will deviate from this pattern, as you will have to defeat three bosses. To clarify, this is what you need to do to unlock every stage:
- Deniz – Survive 15 minutes in Cipanku
- Arbury – Survive 15 minutes in Deniz
- Tucma – Survive 15 minutes in Arbury
- Saipark – Defeat 3 different bosses
We suggest using Platypet or Innki and levelling up their skill tree to defeat the three bosses. You can earn new abilities by completing Kudos, which are essentially mini-objectives. Make sure to look at Kudos from the main menu, as there may be specific abilities you want to earn that suit your playstyle. Here are the ones we liked using for unlocking the stages, with a brief outline of how to obtain them:
- Growth Balm (Gear) – Travel 10,000 meters across Cipanku
- Holster (Gear) – Survive 10 minutes in Cipanku
- Heatsink (Gear) – Use Platypet Ulitmate 15 times in a match
- Stim Pack (Gear) – Deal 15,000 damage with Data Burst (Oree)
- Revive (Skill) – Play 25 times
- Recovery (Skill) – Playing Pigepic, reach level 10
