Final Fantasy XIV has a new variant dungeon for fans to check out in patch 6.51. If you want to know how to unlock Aloalo Island in FFXIV, you’re in the right place.
Where to unlock Aloalo Island in FFXIV Patch 6.51
To unlock Aloalo Island in FFXIV, you must head to Old Sharlayan and speak with the NPC Shallow Moor. You can find the character’s location in the Endwalker city by going to the coordinates X: 11.9, Y: 13.3 on your map. When you chat with Shallow Moor, you’ll unlock the quest known as “Stranger from Paradise,” which leads to you accessing the new variant dungeon.
Aloalo Island works like the other recent variant dungeons, such as Mount Rokkon. You go through a gorgeous tropical environment and pick your paths throughout the level. Though you can complete the dungeon, you won’t be able to map it out entirely in a single playthrough. As a result, you’ll want to re-run through it to gain more and better rewards.
Aloalo Island unlock requirements in FFXIV
There are some requirements you need to pass before you can unlock Aloalo Island in FFXIV. You must have a level 90 or higher Disciple of War or Magic, though I imagine that won’t be an issue for most of the players reading this. In addition, you must have completed the main scenario quest, “A Satrap’s Duty”, from patch 6.1.
Finally, you must have already spoken with the NPC Osmon at least once in Old Sharlayan. If you haven’t already talked to the character yet, you can find him at the coordinates of X: 11.9, Y: 13.3 on your map. He is right near Shallow Moor, so it should be fairly easy to spot him.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for PS4, PS5, and PC. It will also be released for Xbox in Spring 2024.
