The 1.2 Honkai: Star Rail update appears on July 19, 2023. It’s a rather substantial one, as it adds playable versions of Blade and Kafka, more events, and new story and side quests. As such, that means substantial additions in other ways. We’ll see new Honkai: Star Rail Echo of War, Cavern of Corrosion, and Stagnant Shadow repeatable activities in 1.2, and HoYoVerse explained how to unlock them. As you may imagine, all three are added to the Xianzhou Luofu.
Both the new Honkai: Star Rail Echo of War and Stagnant Shadow are unlocked via completing new Trailblaze Missions. Given how things work, we’ll likely gain access to the Stagnant Shadow: Shape of Celestial first. It appears after finishing “Xianzhou Luofu — Desolate Depths of Despair.” You’ll find it on the Alchemy Commission map, and it will feature Wind character ascension materials, so presumably Blade will need them. As Echoes of War are based on boss fights, Echo of War: Immortal Divine Seed will come after. It’s locked behind “Xianzhou Luofu — A Dragon Gallant, Its Ocean Distant.” Its drops include the Regret of Infinite Ochema trace material, Lucent Afterglow, and the Musketeer of Wild Wheat and Thief of Shooting Meteor relics.
As for the new Honkai: Star Rail Cavern of Corrosion, Path of Elixir Seekers is found in the Xianzhou Luofu — Alchemy Commission area. As long as you already unlocked the ability to delve into Relic dungeons by completing the “Cavern of Corrosion,” which is already available in the game, you can start getting Longevous Disciple and Messenger Traversing Hackerspace pieces once you find this dungeon.
Honkai: Star Rail is available for PCs and mobile devices. The PS5 version is in development and should be out before 2023 ends. Yukong will become a permanent part of the four-star pool of Honkai: Star Rail characters when the Luocha banner appears on June 28, 2023.
