How to Stop Fields of Mistria from Freezing and Crashing

While playing Fields of Mistria I did encounter one major technical issue: freezing and crashing. Well, to elaborate on it properly, my game would first freeze and then crash. Which I suppose is both happening in rapid succession.

Now, if you’ve encountered your game freezing in Fields of Mistria, I can point out why it’s happen and how to prevent it. The chances are that you are opening and closing your menu too fast, have too many things on screen (such as items that can be dropped like seeds), or are tabbing through your menu too quickly.

Yes, doing things too fast in Fields of Mistria will cause your game to freeze. The music will still be playing, but you’ll need to either wait for the game to crash or force close it. There are currently no workarounds to this. My suggestion is to save often by heading to your home and logging your progress in your journal after heading to the mines or turning in significant quests.

Because I’ve definitely lots hours of progress to flipping through my menu faster than the game can keep up. And while I genuinely enjoy playing this game, when it happens while you’re attempting to get items for quests, it can be genuinely frustrating.

Fields of Mistria is available for PC in Early Access through Steam.
