Where to start the FFXVI Crossover Event in FFXIV

To begin the FFXVI crossover event, players need to head to Ul’dah. Fortunately, you don’t have to go far once you teleport to the Aetheryte crystal here. You can find the initial quest for the crossover event, “A Land on Fire,” at around X: 8.8, Y: 9.8. This is only a short distance from the Grand Company headquarters. Speak with the NPC here and accept the quest to begin the event.

I should note the FFXVI crossover event is only happening from April 2-May 8, 2024. Players have just over a month to check out and complete this event before it leaves possibly forever. This also means players won’t be able to get the exclusive event rewards, like Clive’s signature armor, again for the foreseeable future.

FFXVI Crossover Event Requirements in FFXIV

Unfortunately, there are some reasonably steep requirements you must first meet before you can do the FFXVI crossover event in FFXIV. You need to have a Disciple of War or Magic job class that is at least level 50 or higher. In addition, you must complete the main scenario quest, “The Ultima Weapon.” If you have beaten the base game’s main story and defeated Ultima, you are able to take on this crossover event.

These requirements are far more demanding than the usual holiday or limited-time events. The one benefit of this is at least the free trial covers this content. New Xbox players will likely find themselves in the most awkward position since that version just came out, so players haven’t had a lot of time to reach level 50 and beat the base story. You have just over a month to grind it out, which is certainly possible.

Final Fantasy XIV is available now for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
