How to Start Photo Mode in Stellar Blade

Photo Mode has finally been added to Stellar Blade after extensive fan requests. Once you’ve downloaded the 1.009.001 update, you’ll be able to access one version of Photo Mode immediately but the second requires a little setup.

How to Access Regular Photo Mode in Stellar Blade

The standard Photo Mode is immediately available once the latest update has been installed for Stellar Blade. However, finding it isn’t obvious. You can find it in the Settings tab of the pause menu, in a new option labeled Photo Mode right at the bottom.

This is a long-winded process, but fortunately there is a shortcut available. When out in the world, simply press R1 and left on the d-pad simultaneously to instantly access Photo Mode.

This version of Photo Mode allows you to take a variety of shots and angles and offers full customization on which characters can be in the scene.

How to Access Selfie Mode in Stellar Blade

A second version of Photo Mode can be unlocked in Stellar Blade along with the main one. This is Selfie Mode, which is a little more limited than the main mode, as it’s fixed permanently on Eve and can’t be moved very far.

To unlock this, you’ll need to start the photo request quests. These can be found by visiting the Bulletin Board on the eastern side of Xion, hidden away in the alleyway to the right. With the new update, a new quest should appear here called Photography Club. Accepting this gives you the first of the photography requests to get the new outfits and the selfie camera you need to complete them.

To use the selfie camera, hold down on the d-pad to access the tools menu, and select the camera icon. This will equip it, so now any time you press (not hold) the down button, you’ll jump straight into selfie mode.

Stellar Blade is out now for PS5.
