How to Start FFXIV An Otherworldly Encounter FFXI Alliance Raid

Final Fantasy XIV Patch 7.1 is here, which means the start of a new Alliance Raid series in Dawntrail. This time around, the 24-player Alliance Raids are featuring a crossover with a certain other MMO in the franchise. Players will want to know where to start the FFXI An Otherworldly Encounter crossover quest in FFXIV to unlock the Jeuno Alliance Raid.

Where to Begin FFXI An Otherworldly Encounter Crossover in FFXIV

Players can do the first quest in this crossover series by heading to Tuliyollal and speaking with the NPC Hoobigo Messenger. The exact location of this NPC and first quest is Tuliyollal X: 13.0, Y: 11.6. The quest is “An Otherworldly Encounter” and it requires you to have a level 100 Disciple of War or Magic and have done the final expansion quest “Dawntrail.”

”An Otherworldly Encounter” will take you to Mamook and introduce you to some new characters alongside familiar faces like Bakool Ja Ja. It is a pretty easy quest, as you just need to run and talk to people. I do recommend unlocking the Yak T’el Aether Currents, though, to help with this.

FFXI Jeuno: The First Walk Alliance Raid, Explained

An Otherworldly Encounter will lead players to eventually unlocking the new Jeuno: The First Walk FFXI crossover Alliance Raid in FFXIV Patch 7.1. This is the first of three Alliance Raids that will be released during the 7.X series of patches. Jeuno: The First Walk will see players tackle some new bosses in a new area. Since this is an Alliance Raid, there will be a total of 24 players in three different Alliances in the content.

It is worth noting that you must have the item level of 695 or higher. This is the requirement if you want to be able to do Jeuno: The First Walk. If you are lower than that, there are a couple of ways to get it up. You can buy some of the new crafting gear off of the Market Board or make it yourself. The other option if you don’t want to spend money is to continue the Main Scenario Quests. This will unlock a new dungeon and give you Tomestones that will let you exchange for gear.

Final Fantasy XIV is available right now for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
