How to Start Chapter 5 in World of Warcraft The War Within

Chapter 5 was previously not made available during the launch of The War Within, and was instead part of a staggered release of content through the September 3, 2024 update. However, now that the update has arrived, players can now being Chapter 5 of the expansion.

You can begin the quest by speaking to Alleria Windrunner in Dornogal at the location circled on the map below.

There are some stipulations to accessing the Chapter, which mostly involves progression. Namely, you will need to be Level 80 and have completed Chapter 4 to access Chapter 5. Now, if the quest marker has not appeared for you, check your map to see where you are in The War Within’s storyline. If you are stuck at Chapter 3, you will need to raise your reputation across all four factions to Level 4. This can be done through questing and doing World Events in their respective areas.

If you’ve done this, then you should have access to Chapter 5! Again, you will need to be Level 80 at the very least to continue. The best way to do this is to queue for dungeons or do side-quests. I recommend side-quests since that will also raise reputation with the various factions that have been introduced in this expansion.

World of Warcraft, and The War Within expansion, are available for PC.
