Given the nature of your cult in Cult of the Lamb, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that you’re able to sacrifice your followers to some unknowable ancient deity. This guide breaks down how to sacrifice your followers in Cult of the Lamb and what the benefits are.

How to Sacrifice Followers in Cult of the Lamb

To Sacrifice your Followers, you will need to unlock the Temple, which is done by progressing the game as it is one of the first Faith buildings you will unlock and the first building obtained through Divine Inspiration.

From there you will need to enter the Darkwood, which is done by leaving your enclave, and defeat the second mini-boss. After doing this, heading back to your enclave will unlock the option to Sacrifice followers after a series of cutscenes.

After these steps have been done, go to your Temple and head to the Altar. From there, you will be able to Sacrifice your followers through the Sacrifice of the Flesh Ritual. It will cost a total of 37 bones and, of course, one follower. However, it will increase the faith of your cult, and if you are in dire straights and all of your other rituals are on cool down, it may be a good idea to perform this ritual.

The Ritual of Resurrection will not work on this follower as there will be no corporeal form to bring back from the dead. So, choose wisely when Sacrificing a follower. My suggestion is to pick a follower that is close to death or a dissenter. Removing dissenters helps keep your enclave and other followers pacified.
