With the new relationship system in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, players can have Cloud and Yuffie Kisaragi build a bond of friendship with one another. This guide will explain how to raise Cloud’s bond with Yuffie and essentially romance her in FFVII Rebirth.
How to Romance Yuffie in FF7 Rebirth
Cloud’s bond with Yuffie (and the other members of the group) is denoted by a smiley face above their head, which you can see whenever you press L1 while exploring. There are five stages to it. You need the fourth stage to get the Gold Saucer date and the strongest bond, which is the max romance level, to get the intimate version of the date. The first way to bond with Yuffie is during conversation choices.
Conversation Choices
Every once in a while, you will have moments, such as when you arrive in towns like Gongaga, where you can chat with the crew. You’ll have a short timer to pick the right response to deepen your bond with Yuffie. In general, you don’t want to make fun of her, so pick options that agree with her. In addition, there are a couple of story beats where you want to side with her, such as not taking the bumpy route for the mine cart during the Mt. Corel section.
Character Side Quests
The other main way to romance Yuffie and build your relationship with her is through character-specific side quests in FFVII Rebirth. Each of these key side quests has a partner designated for Cloud. Complete the ones with Yuffie to quickly raise your relationship with her. Do it by the time you get to Chapter 12, and you’ll be able to romance and take her out on a date at the Gold Saucer.
