BP is a status bar players have for every character in Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven. Even if you’ve played the original JRPG, this can be a confusing element of the game since it has some weird quirks about it. As such, here’s what you need to know about what BP is and how to get it back.
What Is BP?
For those who played the original 2D JRPG, BP might be a bit surprising and confusing to you. This is the status that appears under your characters’ HP bars, and it essentially replaces the SP and MP you might be more familiar with. The general idea is to bring together both the skill points and mana points into a single new status known as BP.
As such, BP is simply the battle “currency” characters use to execute various skills, moves, spells, and more. This shouldn’t be too new or surprising if you’ve played a JRPG before. However, there are some weird problems with BP that the game doesn’t immediately make clear to the player.
How to Restore BP in Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven
The main issue with BP in Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is how to restore it. You see, your characters usually have highly limited BP. Especially in the earlier parts of the game, the party can only use BP in a few fights before they run out. Strangely enough, while your HP restores fully after every battle, BP does not.
To restore BP, there are two options: use an item or a green healing point. You can use BP restoration items like Puissance Liquor. You can get items like these from the shops around Avalon. The other way is in the middle of a dungeon, you can use one of the green healing points. But note that you can only use it to fully heal your party once per dungeon trip.
Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven is available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC.
