How to Reroll Cards and Packs in Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket

Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket is here, allowing mobile players to battle and collect cards on Android and iOS for free. However, as you might expect with a mobile collectathon game, there are some free packs you can get to start out. While you can reroll these cards and packs in Pokemon TCG Pocket, it might not be worth the effort.

Can I reroll the initial free packs in Pokemon TCG Pocket?

One of the fan-favorite features of online “gacha” style collection games is to reroll until you get the characters, or Pokemon in this case, you want. When you first start this Pokemon card mobile title, you get to pick a free booster pack. This comes with five cards and it is possible to get some really rare and beautiful cards like Pidgeot EX this way.

Technically, yes, you can reroll the initial free booster pack the game gives you. It is possible to try as many times as you want until you are satisfied with the initial set of cards the game gives you. As for whether or not you should do this, well, what is a different story.

How do I reroll cards and packs in Pokemon TCG Pocket?

How you reroll the initial cards and packs in Pokemon TCG Pocket has to do with your account. Unfortunately, you have a somewhat lengthy process ahead of you. You will need to uninstall the game, reinstall it, and create a new account every single time you want to try rerolling starter cards. Worse, your account will need a fresh email or Nintendo Account to do this. So, I hope you have a lot of emails sitting around.

To be honest, I don’t necessarily recommend doing this. You only get five free cards with your initial booster pack, so it isn’t necessarily worth it. If you follow the right methods to get free packs, you won’t even need this. On the first day alone of playing this, I was able to get more than 20 card packs for free.

The only reason you might want to reroll is if you want to get the elusive “rare pack” which contains solely five gold star cards and EX’s. However, you only have a 0.05% chance of this happening. You could theoretically open 2,000 card packs (or open 2,000 different accounts) without ever seeing a rare pack.

Pokemon TCG Pocket is available right now for free for Android and iOS.
