How do I reach the Ancient Ruins of Rauh in the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC

To reach the Ancient Ruins of Rauh in Elden Ring’s Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, start at The Shadow Keep. Specifically at the Specimen Storeroom First Floor Site of Grace. From here, head left into a nearby doorway. You’ll find a lift that takes you down to the next area. I shared a screenshot of it below.

The lift leads you to a disturbing area where living jars are being created. The grotesque sight is jarring, if you’ll pardon my pun. Navigate through this eerie area until you reach a grand bridge extending from underneath the keep.

As you make your way across the bridge, be prepared to encounter one of the flame-wielding enemies guarding the exit. It’s a pretty tough fight for a standard enemy, but put them down all the same. Once the enemy is down, proceed to the lift behind them.

This lift will transport you directly to the Ancient Ruins of Rauh.

Where do I find Rauh Base in Elden Ring?

It’s worth noting that there is an additional area beneath the Ancient Ruins of Rauh known as Rauh Base. To access Rauh Base, you need to pass through a poison cave located north of the Moorth Ruins.

While Rauh Base isn’t where we need to go for the story, it is where you’ll find the map for the area. This could make it significantly easier to find your way up in the Ancient Ruins of Rauh. Therefore, it’s a great idea to quickly snag the map when you get the chance.

Elden Ring and the Shadow of Erdtree DLC  are available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
