Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail is the latest expansion for the ongoing and beloved MMORPG. With a new expansion comes a new level cap of 100 and two new jobs at the same time. If you want to hit the ground running with jobs in FFXIV Dawntrail like Viper and Pictomancer, these are the best ways to grind XP and quickly level up.
How to Quickly Level Up in FFXIV Dawntrail
There are quite a lot of ways to grind experience in Dawntrail and it comes down to personal preference. But there are certain elements that give you much more experience than others. For instance, I highly recommend completing these weekly and daily content as soon as possible to maximize your experience potential:
- Wondrous Tails
- Challenge Log
- Duty Roulettes: Especially Leveling, Alliance Raid, Trial, PvP, and Main Scenario
These three are the go-tos for daily and weekly content. Wondrous Tails, in particular, is guaranteed to give you about half a level’s worth of experience upon completing nine seals (nine content). But there is a way to manipulate the system to pretty much get this half a level in like five minutes. What you want to do is look for super easy content like level 50 Extreme Trials. Complete it by yourself as your level 80 or 90 character, which only takes 30 seconds to a minute to do. Then use your “second chance” points to reactivate that particular trial and grind it over and over nine times, and you’re done within a matter of moments.
Best Dungeons and Content to Grind for XP
The problem with Wondrous Tails and challenges is they aren’t infinite. You can only do them a few times a day or week. As such, you’ll also want other reliable methods of grinding XP and leveling up existing and new jobs like Viper and Pictomancer quickly in FFXIV Dawntrail.
These are the content I highly recommend grinding over and over for levels:
- Trust System Dungeons: Do the dungeon closest to your current level. You can queue up for these but if you are DPS, it can possibly be longer with wait times.
- Tribal Quests (now called Allied Society Quests): If you are higher level, grind your daily quests for the likes of the Pixies and Arkasodara
- FATEs: Make a FATE party and do the highest possible ones for your level
- Bozjan Southern Front: Do the FATEs and Engagements here
- Use all possible bonus XP buffs: Food, Free Company, Squadron Manuals, Azeyma’s Earrings, and rested XP
Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail is releasing for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on July 2, 2024. There will also be early access, beginning on June 28, 2024.
