Sony has officially announced the PlayStation 5 Pro. This is the upgraded, mid-generation version of the current hardware. It is a bit pricier than the current model, but this version of the system boasts higher fidelity at 60 frames-per-second. The PS5 Pro release date is currently set for November 7, 2024, per the presentation Sony held on September 10, 2024. This release date is a simultaneous worldwide one, as it includes various price currencies.
For those of us in the United States, the price for the PS5 Pro is currently set at $699.99. That is noticeably about $200 more than the current price of the base model of the PS5 that comes with a disc drive and $250 more than the digital-only console.

How do I pre-order the PS5 Pro ahead of launch
Now that we know the PS5 Pro release date and price, you might want to go ahead and pre-order it. Unfortunately, pre-orders will not happen for any retailer until September 26, 2024. That said, there will likely be several possible options to choose of where to pre-order.
Note that this console does not come with a disc drive. This is despite costing more than the base model with a disc drive. You can purchase this drive separately, though, if you prefer. It will cost you around $79.99 in the US. That said, the Pro will come with a 2TB hard drive, which is vastly more storage than the previous version.
