Strengths and Weaknesses of Melee DPS Characters in Gigantic

The strengths of the Melee DPS characters in Gigantic are diverse. While they all have strong offenses, they also commonly inflict debuffs on their opponents, while others are stealthy. When used effectively, these characters can be surprising and frustrating to deal with across the board.

This comes with the trade-off that almost all characters in this class have weak defense stats. While they excel at doing a lot of damage close-up, you don’t want to keep them in the fray too long because they’re easily taken down. This is why you always need to have an exit strategy in mind before making use of their abilities.

Strongest Melee DPS Characters in Gigantic

Two Melee DPS characters in Gigantic also have the Frontline status. While they’re not the strongest at playing the Frontline role, this does give them extra defensive abilities, overcoming the main weakness of the Melee DPS class. Both Ramsay and Lord Knossos can last longer in a close fight, with Lord Knossos being a heavy tank while Ramsay can inflict poison effects to enhance his damage. These two are simple starter options worth exploring.

Two characters excel at stealth. Tripp is the weaker of the two, because while she can turn invisible, cause Bleeding from a distance and approach quickly with Electric Slide, it’s difficult for her to exit the fray once she’s in it. However, if her approach options are used effectively and she only gets close to inflict the final blows, she can be devastating. Kajir is also strong for the same reasons, but he can also summon two clones that can cause distractions for your opponents – giving him a clear advantage.

Aisling is also a surprisingly good Melee DPS fighter while using her Spectral Force build. She is accompanied by Sir Cador, who doubles her attack options at any given time, and this build enhances her attack stats significantly.

Finally, there’s Wu, who is initially difficult to make use of due to the precision nature of his attacks. However, if you can master these, his combo-heavy attacks and solid movements options give him the potential to be a real wrecking ball.

Gigantic is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
