How to Participate in the Hook and Line Festival in Fae Farm

In Fae Farm, players can participate in the Hook and Line Festival, a seasonal celebration of fishing hosted by Eddy. This festival takes place only once every in-game Summer. If you don’t finish the fisherman’s tasks, you’ll miss the event. We’ll show you how to complete his quests so you can participate in the festival and break down what benefits you can get for being there.

When and how can I complete Eddy’s quests in Fae Farm?

Eddy’s quests will become available to you starting on the 23rd day of Summer. Speak with him at the docks to begin his storyline. His first quest will require you to catch twelve fish, either freshwater or saltwater. Thankfully, this means that you can catch them in the rivers, ponds, or oceans. It doesn’t matter where.

You can catch fish by aiming for their shadows in any body of water and pressing the A button on your Nintendo Switch to jiggle the lure to attract their attention. I’ve found it’s easier to get them to bite if you move the lure while it’s directly in front of their faces. Then slowly hold the same button to reel them in, and let go when you see the line start to glow red. Eventually you’ll reel in the fish if you keep at it.

Once you’ve collected all twelve fish, speak to Eddy again to redeem the quest. Don’t go trying to sell the fish just yet, though, as you’ll need them for his second quest.

How do I make Steamed Fish for Eddy in Fae Farm?

Eddy wants you to prepare the fish you just caught for his second quest. You need to deliver five Steamed Fish to Eddy to complete the task. To do this, head back to the customizable portion of your house or yard just outside your Homestead. You’ll need to have the Food Prep Table and the Cooking Hearth crafted and placed either inside or outside for this next part. You should also be sure to harvest a few dandelions nearby, as you’ll need them for the dish. First, use the Food Prep Table and select the fish you caught to prepare it. They will be made into Fish Fillets. Then, select your dandelions to make Fresh Greens. After they’ve finished, press the X button to collect them.

Now, use the Cooking Hearth. The Steamed Fish recipe will be early on the list. With the Fish Fillet and Fresh Greens in hand, you can now use them to make five Steamed Fish. Once the food is finished cooking, collect it with the X button. Finally, return to Eddy to complete his second quest.

When and where is the Hook and Line Festival in Fae Farm?

You should now be ready to participate in the Hook and Line Festival. It takes place on the 28th day of Summer and is held inside the Town Hall. It’s a large building with a clock that is below the Town Center shopping area. Inside, Eddy will be selling some items exclusive to the Hook and Line Festival. He has fishing and beach-themed dyes, wallpaper, flooring, and other interior decoration items to check out. Hopefully, you saved up some gold florin!
