Reaching the Puppet Master can be quite the trek, and it’s easy to get lost in Dracula’s Castle. We’ve listed each step below to help guide you along the path:

1) Pass the Stallion Gate

Begin by entering Dracula’s Castle as you normally would, from the entrance to the east of where you first spawn. Alternatively, you can teleport to the Stallion Gate if you’ve already unlocked it.

Continue east until you no longer can. Then, head northwest towards the Giant Medusa Head rune.

2) Enter the Hall of Paintings

Head north from the Giant Medusa Head rune and immediately turn east. Once you reach the wall, head north again and immediately turn west. You’ll notice a large room in the shape of the letter X – ignore that, and instead, keep heading west into the Hall of Paintings.

Continue west until you no longer can, and then head north through even more rooms with paintings.

3) Navigate through the Grand Hallway

After leaving the Hall of Paintings, you’ll enter a large area with porcelain tile, dark red rugs, and a lot of statues. Immediately head east until you no longer can, and then north to the top of the zone. Then, turn east, pass through the doors, and enter the Alchemy Lab.

4) Find and Defeat the Puppet Master

After entering the Alchemy Lab, head south. Once you reach the bottom of the room, you’ll find the Puppet Master rune on the ground. Step on it to summon the boss and slay them, who will drop the Relic needed to unlock the Scorpion Gate.

After you’ve unlocked the Scorpion Gate, you can use it at the beginning of each run to teleport to the room right before the Alchemy Lab, allowing you to skip the arduous journey you just completed. Additionally, you may now discover Karma Coins around the map, which are special pickups needed to unlock Hector. Now, it’s time to head deeper into Dracula’s Castle.

Vampire Survivors and the Ode to Castlevania DLC are now available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and mobile devices.
