Being the game’s largest map released thus far, Dracula’s Castle in Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania is easy to get lost in. Luckily, the new map is sprinkled with teleportation gates at various locations, making it possible to fast travel once unlocked. For a quick trip to the castle’s Throne Room, continue reading to learn how to find the Relic and open the King’s Gate in the Vampire Survivors Castlevania map.
Where to Unlock the King’s Gate in Vampire Survivors Ode to Castlevania
To open the King’s Gate in Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania, you’ll need to reach the upper section of the Clock Tower and defeat Abaddon. This can be done using any character on the roster; however, defeating Abaddon with Soma Cruz will unlock Yoko Belnades.
The image below shows the exact path to reach the Clock Tower and the rune that spawns Abaddon. Note that this path begins at the Capra Gate and right below the Grand Library. If you haven’t yet unlocked the Capra Gate, we highly recommend doing so first.
While the path to Abaddon is fairly straightforward, the enemies along the way can be challenging. It’s recommended to upgrade a few weapons and passives before making the trek. Once you’re ready, follow the steps below to unlock the King’s Gate:
1) Pass through the Stone Bridges
Directly east of the Capra Gate is an area with three horizontal stone hallways. You can begin by passing through any of the three hallways, but you’ll ultimately want to end up in the southeastern section, where the entrance to the Clock Tower begins.
2) Ascend the Clock Tower
After entering the Clock Tower, you’ll head north for quite a while. As you ascend the tower, you may notice a boss rune along the way – this is for Zephyr, who drops the Gale Force weapon upon defeat. You can choose to fight Zephyr or skip it and continue north towards Abaddon.
3) Enter the Enclosed Room
You will eventually enter a large room of the Clock Tower. Continue north until you find a small, enclosed room in the middle of the arena. This room has a secret entrance on the north side and contains the rune to summon Abaddon.
4) Find and Defeat Abaddon
Walk over the rune to summon Abaddon. Be careful; this boss has screen-wide attacks indicated by red intersecting lines on the ground. Do your best to stay out of the center of these attacks to avoid getting yourself trapped. Once Abaddon is slain, they will drop the Relic needed to unlock the King’s Gate.
Once you’ve unlocked the King’s Gate in the Ode to Castlevania DLC in Vampire Survivors, you can use it at the beginning of each run to teleport to the middle of the Clock Tower, just east of where you fought Abaddon. Additionally, you may discover Neutron Bombs in future playthroughs, a new weapon that deals high damage in a large area.
Vampire Survivors and the Ode to Castlevania DLC are now available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and mobile devices.
