If you’re searching for the Beast Gate, you’ve undoubtedly started to realize how massive Dracula’s Castle is in Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania. The palace is full of maze-like rooms, grand hallways, and hidden dungeons. Luckily, getting around it isn’t so bad once you’ve unlocked the available teleportation gates. Here’s how to find the Relic and open the Beast Gate in the Vampire Survivors Castlevania map.
Where to Unlock the Beast Gate in Vampire Survivors Ode to Castlevania
To open the Beast Gate in Vampire Survivors: Ode to Castlevania, you’ll need to reach the Dining Hall and defeat Eligor. You can accomplish this with any character; however, you can only access this area after defeating the final boss with Richter Belmont. If you haven’t yet unlocked Richter Belmont and completed the showdown in the Throne Room, you must do so first.
The image below shows the exact path to reach the Dining Hall and Eligor. Note that this path begins at the Serpent Gate near the beginning of the Ice Caverns. If you haven’t unlocked the Serpent Gate yet, we highly recommend doing so.
The path from the Serpent Gate to Eligor is long and dangerous, but you won’t get lost by following the steps below:
1) Navigate through the Ice Caverns
Beginning from the Serpent Gate, head east through the cold, underground dungeon. Once you reach a dead end, take the narrow path north. Immediately head east again and take the first path south that you can. Then, head east once more to enter the green Crypts.
2) Pass through the Crypts
Once you’ve entered the green-floored Crypts, head directly east, hugging the southern wall the entire time. Reach the end of the hallway and turn north. Turn east as soon as possible and then north again once you’ve reached the end of the next hallway. You should enter a larger, more vertical room with a boss rune near the middle. Continue north until you no longer can, then turn east towards the double doors and into the Living Quarters.
3) Bypass the Living Quarters
The Living Quarters is a large area with green wallpaper and multiple rooms; however, we’ll skip past it for now. Continue directly east from the entrance until you find a pathway north and into the Dining Hall.
4) Enter the Dining Hall
From the entrance of the Dining Hall, continue north along the maroon rug. You will pass through three pillared archways and, in the center of the room, will find the boss rune for Eligor on the ground. Walk over the rune to summon Eligor.
5) Defeat Eligor
Eligor is a massive, armored centaur capable of dealing heavy damage alongside his many spectral companions. Do your best to keep space between yourself and the boss while you whittle his large health pool down. Once defeated, Eligor will drop the Relic needed to unlock the sixth and final gate – the Beast Gate.
After you’ve unlocked the Beast Gate, you can use it at the beginning of each run to teleport directly to the Crypts and shortly before the entrance of the Living Quarters. Additionally, opening the Beast Gate unlocks Secret Weapons that can be found around the map.
Vampire Survivors and the Ode to Castlevania DLC are now available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and mobile devices.
