Reynatis is based on a modern interpretation of Shibuya, where citizens are addicted to a substance called rubrum, which turns them into foul beasts. This adventure does not incorporate a traditional equipment system. Instead, it relies on you earning new abilities and expanding the pool of moves within your arsenal. This guide explains how to gain new abilities, where to go to liberate ability slots, and how to equip them.
How do you earn new abilities in Reynatis?
To earn new abilities, you must interact with wizart, which is special graffiti only wizards can see in Shibuya. However, viewing the wizart requires lowering your malice to a certain point, which is achieved by completing side missions. To find what missions are available, go into the main menu and head to the IWD page, which will show you a list of unresolved cases. When you have completed a mission, the malice level will decrease by a small percentage.
How to unlock liberate ability slots in Reynatis
In Chapter 14, an area called Babushka Woods will become accessible after a story-related quest. To get there, head to Dogenzaka Alley and go through the fog. Babushka Woods has a magic shop where you can sell materials you pick up from beating enemies. The cats at the shop can craft a liberated slot by selling the requested materials.
To see which items are needed to craft, click on liberate slot, and it will display all the characters and materials required to liberate particular slots. If unsure where to get specific materials, go into the main menu and guide. It will show you an elaborate list of all the enemies you have encountered and what each enemy drops after a battle.
How to equip liberate abilities in Reynatis
After you have unlocked a new ability from the wizart graffiti and have the space available from purchasing the liberated slot, head to the main menu and then status, it will show your whole team. Pick the character you wish to customize, and then go to equip wizart. You can then edit what abilities you want in your skill and ability slots. Remember, if you ever want to make a particular ability more powerful, head to ability enhancement from the status page, where you can spend points to increase their power.
Reynatis will come to the PS4, PS5, Switch, and PC in North America and Europe on September 27, 2024, and then in Australia on October 4, 2024.
