Persona 3 Reload remakes the original Atlus JRPG with some key changes. School clubs return once again in this experience and they are tied to certain social links as before, but there are some odd differences that may surprise you. Here’s what you need to know about all of the clubs in Persona 3 Reload.
Can You Pick Your Clubs in Persona 3 Reload?
First and foremost, a huge change for this remake is you can’t decide to not join your one school club for whatever reason. In the past, you could choose sports clubs, for instance, such as picking between kendo, track, and swimming. No matter what you picked, you’d get the same social link, but it was more of a roleplay choice.
Unfortunately, this option is gone. Instead of picking your sports club, it is now chosen for you automatically. You can go to the sports building and see the previous doors that access the school’s swimming pool and kendo room, but you can’t go in there or join their clubs.
All Clubs You Can Join
There are around four clubs you can join in Persona 3 Reload, but again, they are chosen for you if you pursue the social link tied to them. The first of these is track, which is now the de facto sports club. You can join this club beginning in late April. It starts the Chariot social link with Kazushi and later unlocks the Strength social link with Yuko.
The second club is Home Economics with the foreign exchange student, Temperance social link Bebe. This requires raising your Hierophant social link with the old bookstore couple to rank three and then raising your Academics stat to rank two and visiting the club room before June 8. Then there is the Art club, which is the only option for the Keisuke social link in the middle of June. Sorry, but the Music and Photography clubs aren’t available in this game.
Finally, while not a club exactly, you will join the student council at school. This Emperor social link with Odagiri begins automatically as part of the main story in late April, so you don’t have to worry too much about this one.
Persona 3 Reload is available right now for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
