One of the most essential control options in Cyberpunk 2077, holstering your weapon, isn’t explained to you at all in the game or its 2.0 update. How to Holster Your Weapon on Consoles and PC in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0
As for how to holster your weapon in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0, it will ultimately depend on which version of the game you’re playing. If you are playing on a controller, the default control scheme is the Alternate version, which requires you to press a button twice to put your gun away.
You’ll want to double tap the Y or Triangle button controller, depending on if you are on Xbox or PlayStation. If you press this button twice in a row fast enough, V will put their gun away. If you don’t press it fast enough twice, you’ll just switch weapons and still have it out. On the other hand, the PC equivalent to this is the left Alt key on the keyboard. Alternatively, you can also pull up the weapon wheel on PC and pick the empty weapon slot to put it away.
Of course, this all assumes you’re using the default control scheme in the game, which is Alternate. If you switch to the Classic or another control option, you’ll have to head to the menus to find out which key or button is the right one. You have the option to see your controls while under the gameplay section of the menu and the game will let you know which button to press for that control scheme option to holster your weapon.
