Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance took a bit of a page from its sister series, Persona, for one of its new side quests in this version. The Brawny Ambitions 2 quest from Hare of Inaba in SMT V Vengeance asks players to bring to him a Xiezhai demon with the skill Puncture Punch.
How to Fuse Xiezhai in SMT V: Best Fusion Recipes
When you meet back up with the lovable Hare of Inaba in Shinagawa after completing his first quest in Minato, he will have Brawny Ambitions 2 for you. This second side quest in his storyline has to do with yet another demon he wants to meet. This time around, though, he wants to see a Xiezhai.
While it is possible to recruit a Xiezhai, this is an unreliable and random method. You are better off fusing a Xiezhai in the World of Shadows when talking to Sophia. Here are the best fusion recipes we have found to make a Xiezhai:
- Ame-no-Uzume and Koppa Tengu
- Shiisaa and Feng Huang
- Inugami and Attis
- Shiisaa and Principality
- Xuanwu and Feng Huang
How to Unlock Puncture Punch for Xiezhai in SMT V Vengeance
Unlike the first quest we did for Hare of Inaba, Brawny Ambitions 2 has another step. Once you have the Xiezhai in SMT V Vengeance, you also need to teach it the skill Puncture Punch. Fortunately, you don’t have to use skill essences from other demons or anything like that for this.
All you need to do is level up the Xiezhai to around level 31, and it will learn the skill Puncture Punch naturally. Then, take it over to the Hare of Inaba in Shinagawa to complete the side quest.
