Elden Ring has some of the most varied vistas in the From Software family, and the DLC expansion is no different. While Cerulean Coast is available at the start of the Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, you have to take the scenic route.
What is the Cerulean Coast in Elden Ring?
Cerulean Coast is the shorefront area south of the starting location of the Elden Ring DLC. It’s a very beautiful area, and one that houses several places to explore. There are no prerequisites to head to the area, it’s simply open.
The journey to Cerulean Coast in the Shadow of the Erdtree goes through some scenic landscapes. There’s not any combat you can’t ride past on Torrent. However they will stop you from opening your map so best to plan your route.
Where do I find the Cerulean Coast in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree?
To embark on this adventure, start from the Castle Front Site of Grace. Follow the road southeast, sticking to the lower path when they split. You’ll know you’re on the right track when you reach a small poison swamp area. From here, go north following the winding trail that loops back around to the riverbed of the Ellac River.
As you head west, you’ll pass by a huge plant monster and encounter a narrow tunnel at the base of a cliff. Proceed through this tunnel to discover the Ellac River Cave Site of Grace. From the cave, head south and carefully make your way downriver. Use the stone columns as stepping stones to move across the gaps. Your next stop is the Ellac River Downstream Site of Grace.
To reach the Cerulean Coast from here, you’ll need to drop down a series of cliffside ledges and debris. After that, simply follow the trail southwest until you arrive at the Cerulean Coast. Head straight south from the Site of Grace here to find pillar containing the map for the area.
Elden Ring is available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. The Shadow of Erdtree DLC appears on June 21, 2024.
