The Catalyst for Destiny 2‘s Season of the Deep Exotic Scout Rifle, Wicked Implement, is finally available. Here’s how to get your hands on it.
How do I get the Wicked Implement Catalyst in Destiny 2?
To get the Wicked Implement Catalyst, you must first have the Wicked Implement Exotic Scout Rifle. It is obtained by collecting three Broken Blades from Exotic fish, depositing them into Hive statues in a Deep Dive activity, and then defeating the Omen Tormentor.
Once you own Wicked Implement, you must successfully complete a Tier 7 Deep Dive and open the Tier 7 Reward Chest at the end.
To Masterwork and apply the Catalyst to your Exotic Scout Rifle, you need to get multiple kills with it. It took me around 30 minutes of grinding the Exodus Garden 2A Lost Sector in the Cosmodrome to score enough kills.
How do I trigger a Tier 7 Deep Dive in Destiny 2?
To reach Tier 7 in a Deep Dive activity, you must trigger and complete three Pressure Trials. This is done by interacting with three Toland orbs at the start of the first, second, and third encounters. Remember to keep an eye on the clock, as once the “A powerful foe hunts you” timer reaches zero, you’ll be automatically teleported to the final boss without reaching Tier 7.
With all three Pressure Trials complete, beat the final encounter and then open the chest. The Wicked Implement Catalyst automatically dropped for me on my first try, but some players claim that it took multiple Tier 7 Deep Dives to unlock it, so your mileage may vary.
What does the Wicked Implement Catalyst do in Destiny 2?
The Wicked Implement Catalyst makes it so the gun overflows when you collect Statis shards, which loads the weapon beyond normal capacity. This makes it a good pick for Statis builds, as you’ll be naturally generating Statis shards anyway.
Destiny 2 is available now on the PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X! and Xbox One.
