How do I unlock the Recycling Plant in Hello Kitty Island Adventure?

To access the Recycling Plant in the Rainbow Reef, you need to have unlocked swimming, diving, and the “Reef Revival” quest given to you by Hello Kitty. You must raise your Friendship Level with Hello Kitty to level 11 before she’ll give you the quest.

In “Reef Revival,” Keroppi requests your help cleaning up Rainbow Reef and asks you to meet him at the bottom of the ocean with Hello Kitty. Dive into the Rainbow Reef and swim northwest of the Comedy Club, where you’ll see the pair standing by a strange purple plant. See my screenshots below for the exact location of the Recycling Plant:

Keroppi will reveal that this is the Recycling Plant, and if you feed it trash gathered from the ocean floor, you’ll receive rewards. He asks you to go and find 10 pieces of trash to give it. Do so, and you’ll get some Coral Spores. Coral Spores can be planted in the Coral Patches surrounding the Comedy Club and grow Coral that attracts different types of fish.

After you’ve planted the Coral Spores, the “Reef Revival” quest will end, and you’ll be able to use the Recycling Plant whenever you want.

What can I get from the Recycling Plant?

Feeding the Recycling Plant pieces of trash can net you the following rewards at random:

  • Dye Pouches.
  • Coral Spores.
  • Coral Keys (these open the shell-shaped Radiant Chests scattered throughout Big Adventures Park).
  • Game Tickets.

Hello Kitty Island Adventure is available now on Apple Arcade for iOS and Mac devices.
