Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail has plenty of new weapons for players to unlock in the expansion, including gear for the new Pictomancer job. One of the best new weapons for Pictomancer is the FFXIV Dawntrail Chocobo Brush, but there is only one way to unlock this particular glamour weapon.
How to Unlock the FFXIV Dawntrail Chocobo Brush
If you want to unlock the Chocobo Brush, you need to purchase the Collector’s Edition of Dawntrail. Without this version of the expansion, you will not be able to get the Chocobo Brush. There is no other way to get this particular weapon in the game. Fortunately, you can upgrade to this version even if you have the base expansion.
The Chocobo Brush is a level one weapon for the new Pictomancer job in this expansion. Since it is level one, it is meant to solely be a glamour weapon for the job. Basically, you want to unlock it and then stick it in your glamour chest to never take up space in your inventory or armory ever again.
Where to Get the Chocobo Brush In-Game
Once you purchase the Collector’s Edition for FFXIV Dawntrail, you will then be able to unlock the Chocobo Brush. I recommend logging out and then back in if you were already logged in while buying the Collector’s Edition. You want to wait until you receive a notification that you have mail.
Head to the nearest mailbox (I like to use the one at my Free Company or personal estate) and open it up to receive a letter. This letter will include three items, which are the bonuses for the Collector’s Edition, including the new Chocobo Brush. Here is everything you get with this special version:
- Chocobo Brush
- Wind-Up Garnet
- Ark Mount Identification Key
